Kinshasa, Congo

Yannick has been playing soccer all of his life and enjoying every minute of it. He likes everything about the game and is the ultimate utility player, willing to play any position. His favorite player is David Beckam, and his favorite teams are any and all of the African teams. Yannick says he plays for Street Soccer Seattle because the “coaches are great, and the players are friendly.” He has been in Seattle for three years now and likes to hang out if not playing soccer. Yannick says that Street Soccer helps him believe in his dream of becoming a doctor.

Mexico

When playing soccer, Jose loves having the ball at his feet. It's not surprising then that his favorite position to play is forward. Oddly enough however, his favorite player is Memo Ochoa, goal keeper for the Mexican national team and Jose's favorite team.Jose says that Street Soccer Seattle gives him “a chance to have fun and learn more about soccer.” Jose has been in Seattle for two years. He is not sure what he wants to do with his life, but has a goal to go to college. Other than soccer, Jose love to work and sleep.

Seattle, Washington

Emmanuel has been playing soccer for about eight years, and would prefer to be on one end of the field as a goalie or the other end as a forward. His favorite team is Brazil and his favorite player Freddy Adu. Emmanuel says he plays for Street Soccer Seattle simply because he "loves to play soccer." His goal in life is to become a professional chef--when not playing soccer he can be found cooking.
